5) Rated current is based on a 40 deg C temp rise above the ambient, up to a max component temp of 110 deg C. Ferrite curie temp is over 200 deg C and wire insulation is rated at 200 deg C.
6) Theta JA, Theta JC, Rja and Rjb used in simulation softwares are only applicable for active devices, such as integrated circuits, etc. Inductors such as this CWS series do not use any semiconductor material and do not have same potential failure modes. The junction temperature gradient in CWS inductors are almost zero since it is a continuous copper wires.
